Artisan ciders will be the main attraction at Hood River Chamber of Commerce’s 1st annual Hard-Pressed Cider Fest on Saturday, April 12, 2014. From the press release:
As the local cider industry has grown in the valley, so have the demands of hard cider drinkers. This event is an opportunity for seasoned and novice cider drinkers alike to sample cider from Hood River County’s very own cider makers as well as a variety of additional Northwest cideries. A menu of local cuisines, produce and arts vendors, a kid’s area, and a local line-up of music from bluegrass to classic rock guarantees a great time for the whole family.
The Hard-Pressed Cider Fest runs from Noon- 6pm and will be held in Hood River’s beautiful upper valley area. Enjoy the spirit of the blossoms and Blossom Fest as you cruise just 10-minutes from Hood River’s city center, south on Hwy 35 to the event venue at 3351 Stadelman Drive- look for the Cider Fest signs! Visitors can supplement their cider tasting with great local cuisine, from smoked bbq to American pub fare to gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. This year’s musical lineup headlines Smoke on the Water, preceded by Greenneck Daredevils and other local talent.
