Down Under Smackdown: New Zealand Vs. Australian Hop Beers & Cider

  • The Big Legrowlski 812 Northwest Couch Street Portland, OR, 97209 United States

The rivalry between these island countries runs as deep as their love of cold beer. An Aussie would say New Zealand is best known for sheep, hobbits and being the butt of some great Australian jokes. A Kiwi would say that most Australians are too up themselves. Either way, both countries have produced hops worth arguing about. Join in the debate.

What: 9 Oregon breweries and 1 Oregon Cidery are creating beers/ciders utilizing hops from both countries. Plus there will be a sausage sizzle, pub raffle and trivia games.

Cost: VIP package (limited to 60) $20 and includes: a limited edition glass, 5 (4 ounce samples), 2 raffle tickets and a sausage. VIP's get 4 ounce samples while non-VIP's get 3 ounce samples.

Additional raffle tickets will be for sale for $2 each or 3 for $5.
