Reach Break / Reveille Limited Snakebite Release

Make the trip westward to Astoria to celebrate the limited release of a first-time collaboration between Reach Break Brewing and Reveille Ciderworks. Our alchemists have come together to concoct a snakebite as wild and untamed as John Jacob Astor's 'Emporium of the West’, home to some of Oregon's most celebrated craft beverages. We'll be tapping an extremely limited amount of this first-ever all-Astoria snakebite, available only on tap at the Reach Break Brewing taproom. We'll pour pints until the well runs dry, so mark your calendar and head to Astoria to capture a rare beast before it gets away.

Cider Riot!® Fruit Cider Invitational

Join us for the inaugural event on the Cider Riot!® patio as we celebrate the bounty of trees, bushes and vines from Oregon and beyond. We’ve hand-picked some of our favorite ciders that go one step beyond the apple from our own cellar and from some of our favorite Oregon cidermakers,  The Fruit Cider Invitational is a two day event held June 24th and 25th at the new Cider Riot patio located at 807 NE Couch. The invitational is open to everyone 21 and up to attend and runs from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday and 2:00-8:00 on Saturday.

“It’s true that all cider starts with apples, but we wanted to celebrate the diversity and creativity of ciders being crafted with other fruits,” said Cider Riot! owner Abram Goldman-Armstrong. “From lowly strawberries to lofty lemons, we’ll have it all.”

Kebabs and gyros from Ramy’s Lamb Shack, Cider Riot’s resident foodcart, will be available throughout the invitational. Live acoustic bluegrass will be provided on Saturday from Licklog Dispute.

DATES AND TIMES: June 24th 4-8pm, June 25th 2-8pm

How much: Admission is free, $2 tasting tickets will be available for purchase, a 4oz taste is 1 ticket, a full glass is 3 tickets.

From Cider Riot!:
Oregon Hardy Kiwi Cider
Fragraria Corundum (Saphir Hops and Strawberries)
Chaos de Tejas Blood Orange Amarillo Hopped Cider

Cider Riot! Is a small-scale cidery located in founder Abram Goldman-Armstrong’s North Tabor garage, dedicated to producing flavorful refreshing craft and artisan ciders. Cider Riot! Has risen to prominence in the NW cider scene and is currently in the process of building a production facility and tasting room at 8th and NE Couch, just off East Burnside. The tasting room is slated to open in August, and the Fruit Cider Invitational marks the first event in the patio at the cidery’s new home, and is easily accessible via bicycle, bus, and streetcar.

Rogue Barrel-Aged Cider Release

  • Rogue Distillery & Public House (map)

Join us at any Rogue Public House in Oregon for your chance to try a special cider only available during Oregon Cider Week.

Our Chipotle Whiskey Barrel-Aged Fruit Salad Cider is a deep complex version of our classic Fruit Salad Cider. Vibrant fruit notes are accentuated by unique vanilla and whiskey flavors. The taste of cherries and plums grown on Rogue’s own farm in Tygh Valley, Oregon, in addition to apples, pears, marionberries, peaches and apricots grown on rich Oregon soil is rounded and softened by aging 4 months in our Chipotle Whiskey Barrels.

Fathead’s Brewery, Pelican Brewing Company, Ecliptic Brewing and Fort George Brewery have partnered with Portland Cider Company to go head-to-head in this competition for the best quintessential English drink – the snakebite! And there will be special events or samples held by the breweries as well (more details to come)!

** Beer + Cider combos will be announced shorty at the Facebook event page **

Come try them all and the vote for your favorite one on the this Snakebite Showdown event page. Voting period is June 16-30, 2016. The winning combination will be announced on July 1st.
