FROST and Grizzly CiderWorks are collaborating this fall to bring the Seattle Cider Summit to the North Seattle Metropolitan Community!

What's a better way to celebrate fall than with the crisp, fresh taste of hard apple cider made from local Washington apples? Turning that cider into cupcakes and fritters, of course! FROST's pastry chefs have joined forces with up and coming cidery Grizzly CiderWorks of Woodinville, WA to merge the world of sweets with that of expertly brewed cider.

Grizzly CiderWorks is the brainchild of two best friends who vowed to bridge the gap between beer and cider enthusiasts. By drafting dry-hopped-ciders, Grizzly has succeeded in bringing the flavorful qualities of hops to the crisp and sweet taste of Washington apples. The result? A refreshing cider that makes pairing a piece of cake - literally.

FROST has taken Grizzly's Bruin - a cider brewed with molasses and brown sugar - reduced it, and baked it into the Grizzly Hard Cider cupcake - a cidery cake topped with cinnamon buttercream and a house-made hard apple cider candy. Not a fan of cinnamon? Try the giant Grizzly Hard Cider Caramel fritters with fresh chopped apples and a caramel-cider glaze - the perfect treat to get your taste buds ready for the season.

These treats and more seasonal favorites - like Chai French Macarons, Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnuts, and Snickerdoodle Cupcakes - will be available at FROST starting September 1st.
