OREGON CIDER WEEK WILL BE CELEBRATED IN JAPAN AND OREGON
Event activities are designed to showcase and celebrate craft cider
PORTLAND – (June 6, 2016) – The Northwest Cider Association announces the first Oregon Cider Week to be celebrated in Japan and Oregon at the same time. During the week of June 18-25, 2016, cider makers, chefs, and shops selling craft cider across Japan and Oregon will feature this refreshing craft beverage.
In Japan, more than 60 restaurants, pubs, and retailers from Sapporo to Okinawa will participate in Oregon Cider Week, too. Oregon craft ciders currently available in Japan will be highlighted along with special brands shipped from Oregon specifically for this celebration.
In Oregon, events will extend over 10 days. In its fifth year, Oregon Cider Week includes many fun and educational activities including product showcases, happy hours, special menus at popular restaurants, a cider bike tour, a history and science talk and the Cider Summit in Portland with over 150 ciders available for tasting.
