PRESS RELEASE: Cider Riot! Opens Pub and Production Facility

Cider Riot! is proud to announce the opening of its 7300 square foot production facility and 49 seat pub at 8th and NE Couch, just off lower East Burnside St. on Thursday, August 11th. After three years producing cider in founder Abram Goldman-Armstrong’s detached garage in the North Tabor neighborhood, the acclaimed urban cidery has moved down Burnside in order to expand production and offer a tasting room and pub experience to its customers.

The pub features six Cider Riot! ciders on tap and four guest taps, which will be split between beer and cider.

“We’re elated to be able to share our ciders directly with our customers,” says Cider Riot! founder Abram Goldman-Armstrong. “The pub will allow us to showcase our limited release and small batch ciders, along with the core lineup and beers and ciders from some of our favorite local producers.”

The pub boasts a spacious patio with additional seating and our resident food cart, Ramy’s Lamb Shack, featuring local organic lamb kebabs, gyros, and falafel with vegan and gluten free options.

The pub and patio are kid friendly until 7pm. Cider Riot’s lease prohibits pets and smoking from the premises including the patio.
“We’re very happy to be walking distance from a half-rack of breweries and distilleries,” says Goldman-Armstrong. The cidery is located across the street from Burnside Brewing and within a fifteen minutes walk from a dozen more.

Saturday August 13th the cidery hosts the KBOO book and record sale, a benefit for the neighborhood’s KBOO Community Radio Station, located just across Burnside on 8th Avenue. The book and record sale will take place from noon until 7pm.

The Cider Riot! Public House will be open Thursday & Friday 4-9pm, Saturday 12-9pm, Sunday 12-6pm.
