The cidery sits on a former “poor farm” amidst a 74-acre property complete with winery, distillery, brewery, hotel and spa. Restaurants, soaking pool, golf, gardens, theater and concert venue complete the picture at this must-visit Oregon landmark.  Edgefield cider shares its production space and tasting room with the winery, and offers regular tours of their production space Monday - Saturday at 3PM. From Troutdale, head east on I-84 towards Hood River or take a leisurely drive along the Historic Columbia River Highway Scenic Byway. On your trip through the Gorge, make a pit stop at Multnomah Falls and feel the mist of one of the tallest waterfalls in the country. Waterfall chasers can delight and indulge in countless popular waterfall hikes along the byway. 

Arrive in Hood River at Double Mountain Brewery and Cidery’s headquarters, where the entire family can enjoy New Haven style pizzas, live music, and award-winning dry ciders made with fruit from their orchards in the abundant Hood River Valley. After visiting the taproom, stroll through downtown Hood River, which is home to a number of one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants, watch windsurfers from land on the Hood River Waterfront Trail, or rent a Kayak at Hood River SUP and Kayak to cruise the Columbia River at sunset.

More adventurous visitors should consider a stay at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort, with access to ski and snowboard trails in the winter and many hikes in Mount Hood National Forest year round.

ENJOY THE SCENERY: Springtime wildflower hikes abound from May to June in the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, while Mount Hood National Forest offers innumerable hiking & biking trails, waterfalls, mountain vistas, camping spots, and more, all just a hop, skip, and a jump away from these cideries.

Winter weather on Mount Hood can be very unpredictable and tire chains or 4WD are often a necessity. Always check the weather forecast and with each cidery before venturing out in winter.

Head ~13 miles south from Hood River towards the majestic Mount Hood to
Draper Girls Cider Company and Country Farm. The cider taps flow year round at Draper Girls (with reduced hours in the winter), where you can sip ciders made from fruit grown right on the farm and enjoy a view of Mount Hood from their garden patio or the warmth of their country store. During harvest season, make sure to leave time for u-pick fruits and flowers, feeding the adorable mini goats, and shopping for unique gifts, fruits and a variety of jams and cheeses.

A short 9 minute drive west of Draper Girls Cider, Mountain View Orchards is a fusion of boutique winery, craft cidery, and microbrewery offering an unforgettable flavor journey to close out your cidery adventure. 

Golden Row cider is made solely from apples grown in Mountain View Orchard’s row of 100-year-old apple trees, freshly-pressed on site. Pair your cider with artisan pizza made on site, then sit back, relax, and enjoy the  flavor, terroir, and beauty of the Mount Hood foothills.
