More about this event
Idaho Cider Fest is coming back to Downtown Boise for its second year. The event lands in downtown Boise on Saturday, October 5, from noon to 6 p.m. This free event is set to showcase ciders from across the west with 13 cideries from five states.
“Idaho Cider Fest is more than a tasting event; it’s about cideries sharing passion and knowledge through their products” said festival creator, Molly Leadbetter. Leadbetter is the owner of Meriwether Cider and Idaho’s only Certified Pommelier. “Cider Fest is an opportunity for people to explore the diverse world of cider, support local producers, and enjoy a day of fun in the heart of Boise. It’s a true privilege to share our love for cider with the community.”
The festival will offer more than 25 ciders to taste, with 4 oz. cider pours available for one token. Tokens, $3 each, can be purchased in advance with an early bird discount online at this link. Attendees can bring their own glasses or buy a commemorative mug at the event.
The festivities will also include delicious food from downtown restaurants, local beer, games for children provided by the Downtown Boise Association’s DT Plays, and an array of local vendors, making it a day for all ages. “We wanted to support our neighbors,” Leadbetter said. “We’ve designed a true ‘block party’ where, besides cideries, all businesses on the festival street are invited to participate and feel the positive effects of the event.”
