Cider Weeks Planned in Oregon, Washington and BC
Toast the Northwest’s most exciting beverage at hundreds of cider events

The Northwest is developing a thirst for cider and so the Northwest Cider Association has added a third Cider Week this year. Cidermakers will take center stage during celebrations of all things cider in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. Celebrations include a week of tastings, tap takeovers, happy hours, themed dinners, cocktail trails, cider flights and more.

Now it in its fourth year, Oregon Cider Week kicks off with Cider Summit Portland and runs June 18-28.  The fifth annual Washington Cider Week is September 10-20, and follows the Cider Summit Seattle. The very first BC Cider Week is set for October 17-25 and will open with a new festival planned for Vancouver, BC.

“The purpose of Cider Weeks is to rally around cider and generate excitement  by offering a wide variety of cool and creative ways to experience it,” said Sherrye Wyatt, executive director of the Northwest Cider Association. “Events range from chocolate and cheese pairings to apple poetry or cider ice cream to formal multi-course cidermaker dinners.”

This year’s sponsors are the Northwest Cider Association (NWCA) and SIP Northwest/Cidercraft Magazine.  For an updated list of Cider Week events visit www.nwcider.com beginning May 1.
